Where Do You Offer DJ Services?
Big Mountain DJs is based in Whitefish, MT and we offer services anywhere in the state of Montana. (Travel charges apply if more than 30 miles from Whitefish.)
How Much Do You Charge For DJ Services?

Do You Charge Extra For Travel?
Only if your location is more than 30 miles from Whitefish. Travel fees are $2 per mile beyond that.
What Is Your Policy Regarding Covid-19 Cancellations?
If you place a deposit and are forced to cancel or postpone due to the pandemic, we offer a credit for a replacement date at no extra charge. We also offer package reductions in case you want to do a more intimate event with a smaller budget.
Do You Have Photo Booths?
Yes! We are happy to be offering photo booth packages in 2021. Please visit the Photo Booths page for more information.
Do You Have Insurance and/or Business License?
We do! We are a registered business with the state of Montana and are fully insured. Just let us know the contact information for your venue and we can send them all the necessary documentation.
Are You Able To Make Announcements?
Of course! Our DJs are highly-skilled in MC duties and always make sure they stay away from corny jokes or stealing the spotlight.
Will I Be Able To Request Songs For My Event?
Yes! Along with an in-person meeting with your DJ, you also receive access to an online planning portal that allows you to add song requests and specify which songs you want to be played during the first dance & special moments.
How Does Planning Work?
Your DJ will work with you to make sure the vision for your event comes to life. Along with being available 24/7 to answer questions, we also provide you with Spotify playlists & easy-to-use planning forms that allow you to plan at your leisure. We want the music planning to be fun for you! :)
Do You Require A Deposit To Book?
We require a 50% deposit to secure Big Mountain DJs for your date. The remaining 50% is due 10 days before your event and we accept payment by credit, debit, check, and PayPal.
Can I Have Music & A Microphone At A Separate Ceremony Location?
This is easy for us! We can definitely provide a wireless microphone and any musical needs for your ceremony if it is in a separate location.
What Do You Wear To An Event?
We typically arrive in casual-wear for set-up and change into a freshly-pressed suit before guest arrival.
Do I Need To Tip My DJ?
While gratuities are completely optional, the service industry standard for wedding DJ tips is $20 - $50.
